Unknown Number does not capture, store or share any personal information, including your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or any other personal data stored on your phone.
What data do we collect?
The Unknown Number game makes Voice-Over-IP (VOIP) calls using your phone.
As part of these calls, an audio capture of your voice is sent to our online service. You will be asked to allow Unknown Number to use the microphone the first time you play the game. As your voice is the primary mechanism for interacting with the game, you will not be able to play the game unless you allow access to the microphone.
Certain portions of certain calls are recorded.
These recordings are made to be played back later during normal gameplay, and are not used for any other purpose. Other than these cases, calls made using Unknown Number are not recorded.
What other information do we collect?
A randomly generated unique identifier for your device.
This is solely used to track your progress in the game. It cannot be used to personally identify you. We have no clue who our players are!
Basic information about the device you are using to play the game.
This includes the particular model of phone you are using to play the game. This is collected solely help us understand what hardware players are using, in order to better optimise future versions of the game.
What information is shared with Third Parties?
Unknown Number uses Twilio to provide VOIP services for the purposes of playing the game.
Audio streams and associated metadata are sent to Twilio to provide the VOIP calls that make up gameplay.
